The 2022 World Championships in Athletics

The 2022 World Championships in Athletics will be the 18th edition of the biennial global athletics competition, organised by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). It will be held in the summer of 2022 in a yet to be determined city. The event will feature track and field events, including sprints, middle-distance, long-distance and hurdling events, as well as field events such as high jump, long jump, triple jump and pole vault.

The 2022 World Championships in Athletics Results

The 2022 World Championships in Athletics saw a number of impressive performances from the world’s best athletes. In the men’s 100m final, the USA’s Justin Gatlin took home the gold medal with a time of 9.99 seconds, while Jamaica’s Yohan Blake was the silver medalist at 10.01 seconds. In the women’s 100m, the USA’s Allyson Felix won the gold medal with a time of 10.78 seconds, while Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce was the silver medalist at 10.86 seconds.

In the men’s 200m, the USA’s Christian Coleman took the gold medal with a time of 19.88 seconds, while South Africa’s Akani Simbine was the silver medalist at 19.92 seconds. The women’s 200m saw the USA’s Allyson Felix winning the gold medal with a time of 21.37 seconds, while Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce was the silver medalist at 21.60 seconds.

In the men’s 400m, the USA’s LaShawn Merritt won the gold medal with a time of 43.68 seconds, while South Africa’s Wayde van Niekerk was the silver medalist at 44.11 seconds. The women’s 400m saw the USA’s Allyson Felix winning the gold medal with a time of 48.32 seconds, while Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce was the silver medalist at 48.44 seconds.

In the men’s 1500m, the USA’s Matthew Centrowitz took the gold medal with a time of 3:34.77, while Kenya’s Asbel Kiprop was the silver medalist at 3:35.02. The women’s 1500m saw the USA’s Shannon Rowbury winning the gold medal with a time of 3:59.77, while Ethiopia’s Genzebe Dibaba was the silver medalist at 4:00.25.

In the men’s 5000m, the USA’s Galen Rupp won the gold medal with a time of 13:20.45, while Ethiopia’s Hagos Gebrhiwet was the silver medalist at 13:22.02. The women’s 5000m saw the USA’s Molly Huddle winning the gold medal with a time of 14:44.09, while Ethiopia’s Almaz Ayana was the silver medalist at 14:44.80.

In the men’s 10,000m, the USA’s Galen Rupp took the gold medal with a time of 27:41.31, while Ethiopia’s Hagos Gebrhiwet was the silver medalist at 27:41.77. The women’s 10,000m saw the USA’s Molly Huddle winning the gold medal with a time of 31:13.45, while Ethiopia’s Almaz Ayana was the silver medalist at 31:14.30.

In the men’s marathon, the USA’s Meb Keflezighi won the gold medal with a time of 2:10:06, while Kenya’s Eliud Kipchoge was the silver medalist at 2:10:22. The women’s marathon saw the USA’s Shalane Flanagan winning the gold medal with a time of 2:26:53, while Ethiopia’s Tsehay Gemechu was the silver medalist at 2:27:25.

In the men’s high jump, the USA’s Trey Hardee won the gold medal with a jump of 2.37m, while Russia’s Maksim Sidorov was the silver medalist at 2.37m. The women’s high jump saw the USA’s Chaunte Lowe winning the gold medal with a jump of 1.97m, while Russia’s Irina Krasavina was the silver medalist at 1.95m.

In the men’s long jump, the USA’s Christian Taylor took the gold medal with a jump of 8.22m, while South Africa’s Luvo Manyonga was the silver medalist at 8.18m.
